I just did some reading and I have found that there's hard drive enclosures that allow you to use USB 3.0 with an internal hard drive. Realistically it's overkill for my purposes, but it sounds like a fun adventure to undertake. I've heard of the 3-2-1 policy and I like the sounds of that. Just make sure to tag the post with the flair and give a little background info/context.
